Excellent brunch experience at cafeteria15L. Beautiful ambience & outdoor patio seating. The chicken and waffles is outstanding and a must try. Beautiful handcrafted, cocktails, and a great variety of delicious items on the menu.

We have seen this place for 10+ years and finally decided to give it a try, we really enjoyed it! Everyone was nice and friendly very helpful. We loved sitting by the window in the early evening with the air conditioning. Just relaxing and taking it all in. My husband had the chicken sandwich which was just the right balance of heat and crunch, he loved it! And I had grilled cheese and tomato soup which is a classic comfort food that I am a total sucker for. I recommend it to some friends who were coming a couple days after us and they stopped in too and loved Cafeteria L15! Definitely on the list for future Sac trips!

*** Vegetarian Review *** Would I Come Back? Yes. They have a nice selection of vegetarian menu items. Great atmosphere and if you can, opt to sit outside. Super relaxing. I've come here several times for dinner and when I'm at the Sacramento Airport, I make sure to grab a bowl of their tomato bisque soup. But this is my first brunch here and I'm glad I went with people that love sharing plates as much as I do ... let's go! Brioche French Toast ($14.75, Grade A) - fresh berries, berry purée, salted maple cream. Brioche is thick cut and just dense enough to handle the toppings. Great balance of sweet and savory. Would order again. Farm Skillet (Grade B+, $17.25) - eggs, spinach, tomatoes, roasted yellow corn and sharp cheddar cheese, on a generous bed of tater tots. Plus 2 thick cut slices of toast. Flavor was great and the only reason this doesn't get a Solid-A-Grade is because the tots were not hots. The thing I was looking forward to most were hot tater tots and this was disappointing. Did they taste good? Yes, they are tater tots, but cold taters just shouldn't be served. Chocolate Banana Waffle (Grade A, $14.75) - fresh bananas slices and a salted maple cream. I thought these would be a regular waffle with a chocolate drizzle. Nope! This chocolate waffle was so light and perfectly sweet. The fresh bananas and maple cream added the sweet. This was a No-Syrup-Necessary waffle. Parking. Metered street parking. Bottom line. Friendly service. Wasn't crowded at all for brunch which was a surprise because the food is great and the portions are generous.

I've been to Cafeteria 15L a few times, those times were mainly receptions following conferences or state capitol lobby days. The food and drinks were good those times. I recently went for a lunch and it turned out really well. They were pretty busy in the middle of the lunch rush but they took care of our group of 8 pretty quickly. I had chose two starters for lunch 1) trio of fries and 2) the chicken strips. Both were pretty good and tasty. They were both fried, but didn't feel too heavy from the oil/grease. They did a good job. I might have to add this place to my rotation when I'm in Sacramento/at the Capitol.

The bottomless mimosas were fire. the omelette I got was lackluster. I wish the spinach had been cooked into the eggs instead of just kinda shoved in there it was lightweight kinda slimy. also the bathroom is so weird it's got this like two way mirror into the men's and women's bathroom and I drank like 6 mimosas imagine my surprise to walk into the bathroom and i see a MAN?? I was like where am I?!! Am I in the men's bathroom?? Am i drunk??? I would return. Literally had to tell the waitress (bless her heart) to not top off my mimosa because I was going to start barking a the old man trying to enter in the exit. Tap into cafeteria 15L it's p good

We came to Cafeteria 15L for breakfast with 7 people this morning and it was very empty at 10am - which was kind of weird for a Saturday, but it eventually started filling up after a while so we clearly just got there at the right time. I love how big this location is with indoor and outdoor seating plus a huge bar with TVs. We ordered the Cafeteria Burger, Spinach Omelet, a side of bacon and the fresh fruit plate. I liked the simplicity of the omelet and the breakfast potatoes that came with with crispy and flavorful. My husband on the other hand said that the burger was very bland and the fries that came with were not good. Our server was super friendly though and did a great job taking care of our party. I loved that she asked if we wanted to split checks - I hate when you have to ask them and it feels like an inconvenience. Overall, is Cafeteria 15L that place to go for breakfast in Sacramento? No, but there are definitely worse choices and they do deliver on some things! Check them out!

Located at the corner of 15th and L. Parking is street parking or local garages. There may be a paid parking lot out back. We had lunch here Tuesday at Noon. We had reservations for 7. The hostess seated us quickly at a booth with 2 chairs on the outside. The booth was big enough so no one felt squished. I would have rather been at a table so we didn't have to slide in. It was nice being on the edge of the restaurant so there was less noise and we could easily talk. Service started out fast. We were seated and immediately served water and asked if we wanted drinks. Then it took forever for our server to take our order. Once our orders were in the service to get our food was quick. He did refill our drinks at an appropriate time and was quick we didn't have to flag him down for that. He was nice and split our check so we could all pay with card. I thought that was better. It ensured that everyone paid their share and left a generous tip. I would recommend this place for groups. Everyone walking in didn't have reservations, but I suggest with a large group that you make reservations.
